I'm an engineer based in San Francisco, focused on product design. When I moved here, I first got the chance to incorporate new materials and manufacturing into consumer products when I worked at Fitbit. Now, at Meraki, I own the design of products that end up in the hands of hundreds of thousands of customers. The best part of my job is working between industrial, hardware, and mechanical design - and delivering a product to our users that they can love.
Engineering and learning is not just my profession, it's also a hobby. On those few rainy days in San Francisco, I can be found drinking coffee and studying some new topic (right now I'm learning about the principles of computer engineering through Coursera.) Otherwise I'll be playing guitar or reading - I'm a huge fan of Kurt Vonnegut. I'm also trying to get into SciFi, and I'm always open to recommendations!
On sunny days, I love to be outside. One of my favorite parts about San Francisco is how easy it is to bike everywhere! On the weekend, you can probably find me somewhere in the Sierra, rock climbing, backcountry skiing, or hiking.
